Matthew was appointed to the FOCAS Management Committee in 2023.
Matthew is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a background managing community centre’s, aged care, disabilities, employment services, long day care and children’s services, youth and targeted early intervention, and family and community outreach services.
He has a passion for community services and not for profit organisations with strong values, vision and purpose. He has a Masters in Social Policy and post graduate qualifications in Education and Management. He is committed to organisational and business growth to achieve the best possible quality outcomes for service users.
Matthew’s achievements have included implementing strategies to improve financial success across diverse services; writing successful funding submissions for government and community grants; managing compliance and developing new policy and procedures and governance systems; initiating and hosting successful community events and building his organisations profile and reputation; and working effectively with culturally diverse and disadvantaged communities and all levels of government.
