Adam has a passion for lawn bowls and has been playing for many years. He has competed at club, interclub and state level. His highest achievement to date has been representing NSW people with a disability at the Australian Open. His goal is to again win selection for the NSW team for the upcoming National titles. Win or lose, Adam always enjoys a good game. Adam’s family and FOCAS support staff have been with Adam all the way. As well as supporting Adam to regularly practice his bowling and participate in competitions, FOCAS support staff provide ongoing encouragement to Adam to remain motivated towards his goals. As well as experiencing success in the sport of lawn bowls, Adam’s health, wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence have all benefited from FOCAS’ involvement.
Along with bowls, FOCAS staff support Adam in a range of other health and recreational activities including pilates, aqua aerobics, fishing and attending sporting matches. FOCAS staff also work alongside Adam to help him build his independent living skills and more recently to get ‘crafty’.
