Karyn's story

When Karyn had the opportunity to work in a busy shop as part of the customer service team she grabbed it! FOCAS staff helped Karyn secure her role at ‘Super bargain’ located at Vincentia Marketplace and work alongside her providing guidance and a helping hand when required. Karyn’s responsibilities include dusting, cleaning and re-stocking the shelves, sorting stock, running errands and helping customers. Her reliability and positive attitude are highly regarded by her colleagues who value Karyn as both a member of the team and a friend. Karyn is also supported by FOCAS staff on other days of the week to work out at the gym, participate in a local craft group, paint, cook and further develop her independent living skills.
